Enlightenment has a history extending back over many years, the origins of which came from another game completely, The Legend of Mir. In this MMORPG a group of people set up a guild that wanted to concentrate on fair and relaxed play. Members of Draconis_Combine were all very friendly and helpful and built up a very good reputation on their server. Unfortunately, due to a leadership change the guild started to change away from these original ideals. Because of this, two members, Borealis and Shakespearean, created a new guild to continue the principles DC played by. That guild was called Enlightenment.
After several years of play Shakespearean moved to World of Warcraft and along with a name change to Arcanjo, created Enlightenment guild on the Al'Akir server.
The guild was created in World of Warcraft to continue the methodology that it has always followed. We understand that people have lives outside of on-line gaming, so we are not demanding of our members. We welcome anyone of any level or class, all we ask is that players are friendly and helpful. We try and run regular guild events for a little fun and to break up the routine of levelling and questing.
Having recently passed our 3rd anniversary, we are one of the eldest guilds on the server. So much so that we still have many of our original members. We credit our successful longevity to our guild ethos. We have survived far longer than many successful raiding guilds which lead such demanding schedules the fun is removed. This is not to say we don't enjoy or have success in raids, just that our emphasis is more on the experience within the raid, rather than fighting over loot.
