Enlightenment is a close knit guild where our number one focus is and always will be having fun. We have always had a policy that Enlightenment would be open to everybody. So are happy to recruit from a level 1 gnome mage all the way to epicced up 70 elf Warriors.
Many guilds have a set agenda to raid the end game instances 3 times a week, or to ensure their members get the most powerful gear, some even demand that their members must have certain gear, or talent specs to join. Enlightenment is not like this!
We see ourselves as a separate in game community filled with like minded players who want to enjoy socialising and experiencing all aspects of the game as a group. We are a friendly, helpful bunch who have developed a strong bond in game even to the point where some have met in real life. Due to the fact we get on so well, we want to try and preserve this as much as possible.
In terms of raids, we try to have guild raids ongoing throughout the week. These are generally Naxxramas raids, but we are also aiming to run 25 man raids on a regular basis. At present we're concentrating on making sure we can run Naxxramas raids on a regular basis.
We have an in-game event manager which can be used by all members to request and sign up for any event the guild will be taking part in. So if you need a run through the deadmines, or need to take a boss down in Uldaman for a quest, if you post it up the other guild members can sign up to help you out.
We also try to run non-raid events too, which are just fun events where the guild can get together for something different in game. These events have included Dueling competitions, the guild's 1 year birthday party and event sightseeing extravaganzas (more details can be found in the forums).
